Hitting Analysis Lesson- CJ 2012
Coach Steve Rau
CJ does what many players his age do at the toe touch or ready position. He weakens his hands and collapses his backside, causing him to lead with his elbow resulting in dragging the bat to the ball instead of attacking the ball. With some work, CJ can learn to be quicker to the ball and hit with much more power.
Some recommended drills include: 1-2 Tee Drill, Top Hand and Bottom Hand Drills. Fence drill (stand next to net/fence, lead with hands)
